Due to Covid bubble closures and restrictions, end of year celebrations were hampered again this year. However, we thank the following people for their dedication to the school and wish them the best of luck as they leave WPS.
Mrs Mansfield has worked here for 26 years, initially as a general classroom assistant then as an HLTA teaching maths, running intervention groups and teaching whole classes. Her passion for maths and patience with pupils has inspired and supported hundreds of pupils over the years.
Mrs Bircumshaw has worked here for 22 years as an infant teacher, mostly in Reception classes. With a passion for art and a caring & cheery disposition, she has given children a positive start to their learning journey.
Mrs Jones has worked in the kitchen for 20 years, serving lunch to lower school children. Her happy and caring attitude has encouraged children to try new foods and helped them develop independence.
Mrs Marck has been upper school SENCo for the past 3 years and has been instrumental in securing external support and EHCPs for many children with additional needs.
Miss Strudwick started her teaching career here 3 years ago. She has been a popular teacher in years 4 & 5 and recently led computing. She is moving on to another Essex school
Mrs Crump and Miss Johnson have been LSAs at our school, supporting pupils in the classroom as well as running interventions for those with additional needs. They are both off to university to train to become teachers.
Mrs Debbage joined us in January and Mrs Morgan in September as upper school class teachers and Mrs Loveday as LSA. They are taking a break from teaching next year.
Miss Jackson will be on maternity leave and we look forward to her return next year.
