This week, Ladybirds and Bumblebees have welcomed a real life Firefighter into our classrooms! As part of our learning about ‘People Who Help Us’, our Essex Firefighter came to speak to us about the role of Firefighters and Police in our community. We found out about all the different jobs that they do, and even had a chance to try on a real Firefighter tunic and helmet, which were a perfect fit! The children were very enthusiastic and vocal with their thoughts and ideas, asking inquisitive questions,  and demonstrated excellent listening skills and respect throughout the presentation. Thank you to the Essex Fire Service for helping us with our learning and for everything they do to keep us safe!
