On Thursday morning the Chair of Governors and I carried out a joint Health and Safety walk around of the school. There were only a few minor issues noted and the Site Manager has taken action to resolve these.
When walking into the classes, all the children were well behaved and engaged in the tasks set them by their teachers.  Whilst in the classes, the children were asked what they would do if the fire bell started to ring. We were very pleased that the children knew the procedures to be taken.
Well, we instigated an unannounced test of the fire bells and all the children reacted in a calm response and assembled in the playground in well behaved and orderly groups in a quick time.
