Visit Afternoon

We visited 5W who were having a French lesson. The first part of the lesson was a bingo game whereby the pupils completed a six box grid and labelled each box with a colour of their choice which had to be in French.  The teacher called out the colours in French and the first pupil to complete all six boxes were awarded a point.  In the second part of the lesson, the children made a Mother’s Day card using French vocabulary.  The children were able to review previous work to assist them in their text, they were also allowed to discuss and collaborate within their groups enabling them to produce lovely cards for their mothers.
Afterwards we visited 6F who were required to write answers to a number of questions in regard to inferences from the text of the Jason and the Argonauts story.  There was plenty of discussion within their groups and some very good explanations were made to the questions.
To finish the afternoon we sat in the rehearsal of the Year 4 production – I can’t wait to see the final production as it looks like it will be great.
Thank you to all the children and staff.
