Zones of Regulation

Part of our PSHE curriculum is developing children’s self-regulation and emotional control. Zones of Regulation help children to understand that everyone experiences a range of emotions for a variety of reasons but it is how these are managed that is the key to emotional resilience.
Blue zone: low state of alertness.
Green zone: ideal state of alertness.
Yellow zone: heightened state of alertness.
Red zone: extreme state of alertness.
