Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed their community walk around the local area yesterday afternoon. It was the first trip outside of school for the children and they did a superb job of upholding the school values in the local community! The children used their Ordnance Survey maps to locate local amenities and use the mapping skills they had learnt in class, in real life!
The children also discovered the conservation area at the end of the Upper School field and when we arrived back in class, we spotted just how big the area is and how close it is to both the High Street and the railway line!
Well done, Year 2! We are very proud of you!
