We have been linked with Mutolere Primary School in Uganda for many years. Originally we raised money to preserve gorillas (2010), hence our gorilla wall in the upper school playground.
Since then we have raised money to help the school; we sent them our old computers in 2013 and in 2016 sent them kilos of books donated by our school community.
We keep in touch with the school children by writing to them every year – their English skills are really good so it’s easy to communicate.
Our water cooler is helping to save lives in Africa because a donation has been made to The Africa Trust which builds fresh, drinking-water wells in areas where it is needed the most – like in schools and villages. Since 2017, we have sponsored a water well (known as an Elephant Pump).
