Honest Positive Determined Respectful

Comic Relief

To raise money for the charities supported by Comic Relief (Red Nose Day), children wore something funny to school today. This year’s theme is ‘You’ so children reflected on what they can do to make a difference and be a good citizen (which is part of our school vision).

The aim of the Comic Relief charity is to “create a just world, free from poverty” and to “drive positive change through the power of entertainment”. It was founded by Richard Curtis and Lenny Henry in 1985. The very first Red Nose Day was held in 1988, when over 30 million people tuned in and it raised a whopping £15 million.
